What are the attractions in San Diego?

I am going for a short trip to San Diego. I would like to know the tourist attractions there?? Also is there any tour packages available for sight seeing. What is San Diego famous for?? What are the things we should take extra care when visiting San Diego?? Is there Indian restaurants available?? What are the items we should buy when visiting San Diego?? All advices would be appreciated. What are the attractions in San Diego?
Top attractions in San Diego include the zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter, 70 miles of coastline, and Balboa Park. If you have young child, they will love Legoland.

If you are into outdoor adventures, you'll find great opportunities to go hang gliding, parasailing, take a hot air balloon ride, rent a jet ski, roast marshmallows on the beach, kayak through the gorgeous La Jolla caves, learn to surf, or go scuba diving.

Learn more about these activities at http://www.sandiego-romantics.com.

There are companies that offer tours of San Diego. I like the ones that have on and off privledges so you can get off, explore an area, and then reboard the tour bus. I'd recommend San Diego Trolley Tours: http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/Old-To鈥?/a> This bus makes 8 stops and covers 100 points of interest.

Whatever you do, have a wonderful time!
Ok so San Diego has a LOT to offer. Since your trip will be short then I suggest just sticking to the basic SD tourist spots. The number one attraction in SD will be the World Famous San Diego Zoo but it can get pricey with a good ticket (not the cheapest) being around 32 dollars. The zoo itself houses a pretty good collection of both animals and plants with the best "open" exhibits around. Also the beautiful SD weather will let you do this at ease. I would suggest that if you go, visit the pandas first as they are the main attraction and there is normally a line to get in which gets longer as the day progresses. Next in the list of animals to see I would suggest visiting the aviaries, the new polar bear exhibit and the fairly new Elephant Odyssey.

Other attractions to go see in order of vitality would be Sea World San Diego (go to a Shamu or otter show and visit the penguins!), Balboa Park (beautiful Spanish style villa full of museums and walking roads), San Diego Marina and Seaport Village (beautiful view of the bay and some of the best unique shops in town), Gaslamp Quarter (downtown, if you are young it can get expensive to club here), Old Town (the oldest neighborhood in San Diego probably), Birch Aquarium (small but pretty cool since we have one of the best beaches in that area), Legoland (only do this if you have children), Palomar Mountain's Observatory, San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park (from the zoo but 30 mins away in one of the hottest areas of town so watch out but still worth a visit), one of the beaches (try Coronado, Pacific Beach or Ocean Beach) or for a double whammy on this, go to La Jolla (the richest neighborhood in town with one of the best beaches). Some people also visit certain areas like the casinos, black beach (nude beach), hillcrest (gay neighborhood), tijuana (that's across the border to our neighbors in Mexico) or shopping in the outlet malls but that's up to personal likes and dislikes and is not really that much of a tourist attraction.

San Diego is famous for its beaches, weather and culture. The zoo is probably the most known attraction in town calling to thousands of people throughout the year. The busiest time to visit would be in July since there is a lot of festivals and hotels book fast especially during Comic-Con weekend as this takes up pretty much ALL of the hotels in the area of downtown and 10 miles outwards. You should be extra careful with the heat since we have good weather but sometimes it can be a little strange. My number one advice when you visit would be to just have fun, go with what you want to do, if something makes you unhappy there is a lot of other stuff to do and keep an open mind.

There is some Indian restaurants in San Diego but I have not really eaten at many since SD is known for their Latin American cuisine as well as their variations of other well known classics. I would suggest you hit Yelp and try to look up any restaurants that appeal to you as far as Indian food goes. Concerning the souvenir question, I would suggest just buy something from one of the attractions. We do not really have much that is originally from San Diego but mostly a little bit of everything. A lot of people buy stuff at Old town like sombreros, or they buy a plush from the zoo or they buy something at balboa park/seaport.What are the attractions in San Diego?
San Diego is the great city to visit. Atmosphere is really pleasant throughout the year. Average temperature is somewhere in 70 degree F throughout the year. So just imagine.. people will be fitness oriented as they get more time to spend in outdoors.

San Diego beaches are the main attraction. You can do great water activities such as snorkeling, swimming and lot more beach activities. City is full of outdoor cafes and restaurants so you will never run out of options to eat and chill out.

Best things to consider in San Diego are Mission Bay and Beaches, Downtown and many more places you can find out at http://www.grab2travel.com/deals/cheap-v鈥?/a>

Regarding Indian Restaurant, I went to "Monsoon Fine Cuisine of India" located at 729 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101. I loved the food. You might want to consider it.

You should keep sun screen lotion if you are sensitive to sun. Because you must visit beaches if you go to San Diego.
For a short trip, the main things to see are the Zoo and its affiliated Wild Animal Park. Each is worth a full day visit. It's one of the largest and best zoos in the world. You might want to visit Old Town, a touristy bit of preserved old Mexico. They also have nice beaches.

Yes, there are Indian restaurants, although they're no better than Indian restaurants anywhere else in the US. Some of the Mexican and South American restaurants are quite excellent.
We are boycotting San Diego because they are boycotting Arizona over the new law regarding illegal criminals.
