I'm going on a mini-vaca for labor day weekend. I'm spending Sept 1-4 there %26amp; i was wondering if anyone had suggestions for bars, restaurants, hang out spots, shopping, etc...to do in San DiegoFun things to do in San Diego?
Hello!
I lived in san diego while going to college. The place is HUGE I am sure you will never run out of things to do in just 3 days.
One place that is really fun is the downtown GasLamp district. There are tons of resturants, bars, movies, hotels, even a couple of malls all in the same area. Also, Little Italy (which is close to the gaslamp district and you can walk there) is pleasant and quiet and romantic. When you are downtown you are righthere close to the ocean. You can hop on a boat and go to the shopping island ( I forget the name) but they have some of the BEST luxury shopping in cali!
If water is your thing, it is a short drive from the airport to get to the bayside. There are PLENTY of young hot people down by the boulevard and tons of bars not to mention water activities and hotbodies.
Also visit ON BROADWAY, its a nightclub with its own party bus. If you have the funds, get some friends and get on the party bus. You will not have to stand in the massive line it takes to get in regular. IT IS A FUN CLUB it is HUGE with every type of music you can imagine!
I never go to San DiegoFun things to do in San Diego?
go to the sandiego zoo and museum. then catch the first airplane bus, train, or taxicab for somewhere, just anywhere else far,far away.
dont make any plans....just going is fun enough. So many different things to do, if you make plans before you go, you may miss something. Make sure you see everything from the mountians to the beaches........... OH YEAH AND ONE THING YOU MUST KNOW....ONE WRONG TURN, AND YOU'LL END UP IN TIAGUANNA (S.P.) SO BE CAREFUL. PEOPLE SEEM AS IF THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH SERIOUS CRIMES THERE
The zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, downtown San Diego has tons of stores plus the Horton Plaza mall (make sure to check out the Gaslamp District), Old Town, Balboa (tons of museums, plus the zoo), Fashion Valley mall, Del Mar race tracks...
You can take a lunch or dinner cruise, hang out in the gas lamp district, go to old town, take a trolley ride, visit the ZOO, harrahs casino, or even head over to Mexico.... which has really been cleaned up.
Go to a Chargers game. That's the best idea. =)
Legoland is a fun amusement park!
The gas lamp district has plenty of bars that are great. For a touristy trio, check out Coronado Island. The scenery is awesome and the Hotel del Coronado is open to the public. Their beach is very nice as well if you plan on laying out.
The Zoo, Balboa Park, Coronodo Island, go by ferry.
Nice beaches at La Jolla and La Jolla Shores and Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, and Ocean Beach. PB has become kind of a youth culture capital since MTV has done a few shows from there and the X games were broadcast from there a few years ago. Also the Wild Animal Park is real good. Balboa Park is pretty especially the Prado. You can cruise around Harbor Island or Shelter Island, maybe rent a boat there or rent a surfboard at PB, MB, or OB.
sea wolrd, or the peir
The Yard of Ale...in Old Town...beer drinking done RIGHT!!!
The Zoo. I have a live web cam on my computer and they have some great Pandas there.
you can go to old town san diego, The San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, and the Wild Animal Park are the city's three top attractions, but Balboa Park's museums, downtown's Gaslamp Quarter, the beaches, shopping in Old Town, and a performance at one of the prized live theatres or a Padres game at brand-new PETCO Park are all attractions worth visiting. .
i would avoid california like its infected with the plague as i really really really hate several laws there
I would definately make it to Old Town and make sure you are ready to eat ALOT when you go! The food there is to die for! There are 2 parts to Old Town, the southern 1/2 has all the shops and old buildings from the American settlers there (make sure to visit the Whaley House..not only is it the first courthouse out there but even the federal government considers it the most haunted place in the US) and then the northern part shows the older settlers stores and a great area for the shops with Mexican Heritage in mind. the Hotel Del Coronado is another great place to wander around...the opulence is astounding! Don't go to Tijuana though...have been there more times than I can count but if you aren't used to it, you can get scammed, pickpocketed, and razzed by the Federalis while down there
funny things ??? uhhmmm
in San Deigo ?? mhhh
oh ? wait I am not from San degio ... lol
sorry .. bye
and by the way .. have a nice summer there .. lol
Balboa Park has a dozen musuems all clustered together - the automobile museum is really cool.
That's a good chunk of a day - then hit the zoo.
