What is the coolest, hippest neighborhood in San Diego?

With bad a$$ bars and restaurants and away from all the up tight, Conservative yuppies? What is the coolest, hippest neighborhood in San Diego?
By far I think Hillcrest is the coolest and hippest area in San Diego. It has some of the best dining in the area and some great bars including wine bars. It is considering the gay and lesbian area of San Diego which usually means edgier with more life and yes not filled with conservative yuppies. Over the last few years it has moved from being predominately gay and lesbian to being a blend of gay, straight, young and old, simply because people realized it is a great area to hang out in.

You can check out some places to go in the area here http://www.discoversd.com/california/san鈥?/a>
Zip code 92109. It will rock your block. It is the best place in SD. It ends at Crystal Pier. Along the route there are Pool Halls like "Society," bars galore, ice cream shoppes and all kinds of restaraunts. I love the place. It is PB from Ingraham St. to the Pier on Garnet Ave.

See you there. Wear a pink cowboy hat so I can buy you a drink if I see you there.

If not have a lot of fun. What is the coolest, hippest neighborhood in San Diego?
