And any dog friendly restaurant ideas? What kind of activities can we do with our dogs in San Diego, CA?
we have nice dog parks
and a couple of dog beaches
dog friendly restaurants are a well kept secret because they are not allowed by the city health dept.
Check out the dog parks in San Diego, these are leash free locations where dogs can run. Be sure to check out the dog parks which are actually on the beach. Fiesta Island is fun for dogs too.

Many restaurants in Coronado Island are dog friendly and will have a dog-bowl of water at the front door.

Stores in the Otay Ranch Town Center are dog friendly too. What kind of activities can we do with our dogs in San Diego, CA?
There's a nice cafe/restaurant on top of the Del Mar Plaza that has a patio section overlooking Del Mar that is dog friendly (can't remember the name of the restaurant).
After eating there, travel a bit further north along the beach (still in Del Mar, close to the race track), and there is a great dog beach (my favorite).
There are some restaurants that if they have outside patio or sidewalk seating you can have your dog next to/at the table. In Pacific Beach %26amp; Ocean Beach it is common to see people eating outside at a place and their dogs are sitting there too.
Also at Liberty Station in Point Loma off of Rosecrans, almost every place to eat there has outdoor patio seating where I've seen some well behaved dogs hanging out. La Salsa, Da Kine's BBQ, Sammy's Woodfire Pizza, Panera, to name a few. That's a pretty dog friendly place.
Beyond that, you can take your dog to any of the numerous dog parks. Dog beach. Any open air mall. Trail Hiking. Tide Pool walking. Beach picnicking. And on %26amp; on...
:)
