San Diego Trip for a 21 b-day with friends who are not yet 21 what can we do?

My Cousin Is turning 21 and we are going to san diego its a bunch of friends and cousins. There are about 12 of us going most of us are 20 about 4 of them are 21 and two of them are 19. we are driving into carlsbad and thats about 10min away we want to go party in san diego. are there any clubs that are 18 %26amp; over or any spots to go to. any ideas for good restaurants that a bunch 0f 20 year olds would enjoy. Please i need ideas are we able to go over the Border into Mexico Still or do we need passports? anything you can give me for fun ideas please let me know. i want my cousin to have a good 21 b-day. thank you

You do not need a passport to go back and forth from Mexico, it only applies to air travelers right now. So if you want to go drinking TJ would be a good option for the under 21 yo's. Depending on when you come, Rosarito is really popular spring break spot and there will be thousands of people partying down there too.

san diego is beautiful!! you can go to the gaslamp quarters and there are a WHOLE bunch of really unique shops, and restaurants. Or you can take the coaster (train) to old town, carlsbad is really pretty. you can go to Del Mar, and go to the race-track. You can go down to TJ. i dont think you need passports. but be careful...its kind of scary. plus its all tramps down there. You can go to oceanside and walk on the peir. Or legoland. or down at the san diego harbor is "sea-port villiage" its a bunch of cute touristy shops. very pretty!! You can go to balboa park, its pretty interesting. lots of museums, or just pretty sights if you are into taking pictures. or there is an old globe theater there, you can see a play. maybe you should check on ticketmaster and see if there are any good concerts coming while you are there. or just go check out a local band at the casbah. (not sure if that is 21 and up or not). you can go to hillcrest (gay town!) and go to the corvette diner, the waitresses wear wigs, and dance and stuff. or go to LIPS! its a restaurant run by drag queens, and they put on a show. or you can go to encinitas on friday at midnight and see rockyhorror picture show live! with everyone dressed up all crazy in lingere!

Take the trolley to the border of Mexico



Walk across



Take a cab to downtown



You can drink there under 21, but don't do anything stupid or the cops will throw you in jail.



Make sure you get back to the border in time to catch the last trolley to San Diego (best place to park for free is the Old Town Trolley Stop)
I too have been to San Diego. Try going to the zoo. It's probably a stupid sounding thing...but the San Diego zoo is the biggest in the country. It's awesome.



And you should keep everything with you the whole trip.



Go to some airport sites. Or ask the person who you are getting your passports from.

a couple of girlfriends and i are going to tj (mexico) this weekend a club i would recommend is mystery e. when my friends and i went two weeks ago they didn't ask us for passports, but if you have them bring them. make sure when you guys go that you make rules stating you guys all stick together and no one under any circumstances goes anywhere by themselves. being in a different country can be scary it's not like america so just be cautious and at the same time i'm not trying to scare you or anything, but just keep that in mind. carlsbad isn't 10 min away from san diego it's more like 30 mins away. i'm not too sure about the 18 and up clubs. if you have any more questions shoot me a message on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/hawaiianqueen84
