Mission Bay?Recommendations for an elegant restaurant in San Diego, other than in the Islandia in...?
Absolutely George's at the Cove! Romantic, beautiful views, great service and great food. Here is a link with pictures.

Call ahead and make a reservation for a good window seat. A day or two ahead is enough time to call.
email me a doggie-bag if you get too full. Have fun.
Go to Peohe's (pee-oh-ees) on Coronado Island :) It's a short (10 minutes, at most) drive over the bridge. It's fairly expensive, but truly exquisite and worth every penny in my opinion. The service and the food are both absolutely fantastic-I recommend any/all of their seafood selections. They also have an innovative and amazing sushi bar with all types of fish and creations. If you go on a warm day (most any day in San Diego), you can eat outside and experience one of the best Coronado Island views you've ever seen. Candlelit tables, amazing views, fabulous service- its obvious why Peohe's was voted “Best Restaurant”, “Best View” and “Most Romantic” by Coronado Lifestyles Magazine. I would branch out from Mission and head over to Coronado Island. Enjoy! :)

The Hungry Hunter never disappoints!
If you like waffles, try the Waffle Spot for a tasty casual breakfast. Its on hotel circle.
Mission Bay area is not well known for fine dining, but try Baci Restaurant. George's at the Cove is nice but not in Mission Bay.
The Hotel Del Coronado restaurant is very yummy and can be elegant if you want it to.
Go into the Gas Lamp to Croce's. The food is superb and the downtown area is awesome.
