Are there any unique or beautiful restaurants near Mission beach, San Diego?

We are from Las Vegas and love finding unique/special places to eat. We will be spending a day at Mission beach (I hear there's a boardwalk and rollercoaster..) Wondering if there are any really good restaurants with great views or local favorites..doesn't have to be expensive... Thanks for your help!!Are there any unique or beautiful restaurants near Mission beach, San Diego?

Canes Bar and Grill is right there on the beach in the same complex as the Coaster. Great rooftop view, convenient to where you are going, regular bar and grill food...

I think most stuff in Mission Beach and Pacific Beach (just to the north) is regular bar and grill food. Canes might have the best view on the whole beach, though. Are there any unique or beautiful restaurants near Mission beach, San Diego?
For breakfast/brunch there's a place called "The Mission" which is a local favorite right on Mission Blvd (east side of the street) in Mission Beach with lots of atmosphere and great food, excellent coffee. Very busy Sunday mornings. It's where I always eat breakfast when I'm in the area. Here's a link: http://www.themission1.signonsandiego.co鈥?/a>
There is a place in Pacific Beach, right next to Mission called.

"World's Finest"

the happy hour specials rule, the food and the view are really good. It can get crowded though. I recomend wed. night cheap lobster tacos, but they have to be eaten at the bar. The place is a local favorite, ask around all the surfers love the place.

As far as other places with great food go to either the Gaslamp district downtown or Old Town (Great Mexican Food) In Old Town try either the Coyote Cafe or the tortilla factory.
