There is no substitute for HODAD'S in Ocean Beach on Newport. It's a small little hole in the wall place but the burgers taste very good plus they serve beer and you don't even need shoes or a shirt to eat there cause the place is about a half a block from the beach. Let me know what you think if you end up going there.

The best I have ever found in a lifetime is Bully's in La Jolla.

It's a noisy place, and a bit upscale--my joke is I exist there because no one can live in San Diego except cCEOs and other thieves--but the burger is a huge one, and I believe incomparable. There are others available in town; but this is something special for under $10.Any opinions on restaurants in San Diego, CA?
If you can go to a place called Ruby's...there is a nice one on the Pier in Oceanside its an modern diner...AWESOME burgers...dont go to Islands...ever. Horrible food.
Ruby's and Claim Jumpers have good burgers.

Fat Burger is still my favorite.
The best place for burgers is Chili's in Old Town and the steak place at Horton Plaza.
Fuddruckers or Boll Weevil are awesome places for that!
