Suggestions on good restaurants or places to avoid in San Diego and La Jolla California. ThanksBest Restaurants in San Diego %26amp; La Jolla CA?
I always recommend the Outdoor Terrace Bistro at Georges. It's the best place to sit and dine while watching the sunset. Make reservations to be dining while the sun is going down. You won't regret it!http://www.cheers2wine.com/restaurant-sa鈥?/a>
I also love Kitma Thai in downtown La Jolla. This is a small little place with excellent food. http://www.kitima.com/
Bertrand Mister As in downtown San Diego is an upscale restaurant with great food and service. It's located on the top floor of a building...I think it's the 12th floor. You get a wonderful view of the San Diego skyline from here. http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/romant鈥?/a>
Wine Sellar %26amp; Brasserie is Mira Mesa is located in an unassuming industrial area. There's a wine shop beneath and the restaurant above. And what a delight it is when you walk into the lovely restaurant with amazing food. http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/romant鈥?/a>
Enjoy!

Any place in Old Town San Diego is a good bet. The Butcher Shop in Chula Vista is another good place as is Mona Lisa in Little Italy (Corner of Hawthorn %26amp; India) in Downtown San Diego. Happy Dinning.
There are plenty of places to avoid. I agree with one of the other writers. Rainwaters on Kettner is excellent...pricey but really great. If you want to go a bit further north, then I would suggest Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe. I've hear good things about the Marine Room in La Jolla although I've never been there. Most of there other places mentioned in earlier posts are very middle of the road, family oriented places...not fine dining, but decent places.
In San Diego:
Rainwater's on Kettner - expensive, but fabulous steaks.
The Fish Market - very good seafood on the downtown waterfront.
Filippi's Pizza - in little Italy, great pizza.
Busalacchi's on Fifth - wonderful Italian food.
Thee Bungalow - in Ocean Beach. Perfect French food.
Saska's in Mission Beach - late night dining. Good steaks and seafood.
Big Kitchen - South Park, great breakfast.
I've eaten at and immensely enjoyed all of these restaurants.
I had a nice dining experience at Stefano's up town, and at Humphrey's Half Moon near the Yacht Club. I hear the food at Hoboken Pizza is terrific too. Tony takes care of you there !
I love Croce's on 5th street in the gaslamp and Mr. Tiki Mai Tai Lounge, Buster's in seaport village is really good too. For La Jolla go to Brockton Villa, or Jacks. If you want mexican food, go to old town. If you want seafood go to Oceanaire or aqua blu, or the fish market. If you want Italian food, go to little italy,my favorites are fillipis pizza grotto and Vincenzos.
