I'm new to SD and looking for a romantic restaurant for a 4 year anniversary or Valentine's Day. Something not too pricey with a beautiful atmosphere. Any ideas?Romantic restaurants for 4 year anniversary or Valentine's Day in San Diego?
One of my favorite restaurants is Island Prime, on Harbor Island (across from the airport). However, it is pretty expensive. The hidden gem, though is C-Level Lounge, in the same building, run by the same wonderful Chef, Debra Scott. It has a gorgeous view over the water, a lovely menu of salads, seafood, pastas, and is pretty reasonable (main dish salads are around $10, seafoods and pastas are betwen $10 and $20). I think there is no restaurant with better atmosphere anywhere in San Diego.
Another fantastic restaurant is Indigo Grill (same chef owner), in Little Italy. The prices on the menu very a lot. I almost always get the grilled romaine salad for $7.50 and add grilled shrimp for $5. That's an appetizer, but it's big enough for a meal. Normal entrees are between about $14 and $28. Drinks are pretty expensive, though. If you do there, share the romantic and delicious chocolate casserole for desert. The atmosphere is southwestern eclectic.
I'm not sure what you consider "pricey",but you might find a nice hotel with a nice restaurant, and maybe have a romantic evening alone. The Hotel Del has the 1500 Ocean restaurant. Hotel Del is technically in Coronado, but it's only about a 5-10 minute drive.Romantic restaurants for 4 year anniversary or Valentine's Day in San Diego?
it depends when you live in san diego there's a really nice restaruant in escondido on Grand avenue it's called 150 or 100 i cant remember Grand, great food and a very nice atmostphere, 50-80 bucks for two
For my anniversary, I almost always chose Chateau Orleans, in Pacific Beach. The have reasonable prices, (plus a coupon for 1/2 off, in The Reader every week) GREAT food and live jazz. If the weather is nice, you can eat outside. It's a short distance from the beach, so if you are inclined, you can take a nice walk along the shore. And the is a wonderful bakery/restaurant (The French Gourmet) a couple of doors down where you can pick up dessert if you want something to go home with.
