What is good to visit in LA and San Diego?

I am in my early 20's and I am visiting LA and San Diego on 16th Jan. I don't know anyone there and would like to know what are some of the good places I should go to.. Nightclubs, lounges in LA, San diego.. what to do during the day ? good restaurants and etc.. visiting with friends.. Thanks in advanced.What is good to visit in LA and San Diego?

You will find many good nightclubs in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. This area also has lots of great restaurants and places to stay. It's a young crowd (mostly 20s), interactive and lots of fun.

are you strictly visiting LA and SD or are you going to OC as well? because if you want to do the usualy tourist thing you have to go to disneyland which is in anaheim. but if disneyland isn't your thing knotts berry farm is always fun and it is in buena park. universal studios is a no brainer. you should definitely go to the santa monica promenade and venice beach. i never get tired of going there. as for restaurants well if you aren't from anywhere with good mexican food you have to go to an authentic restaurant. there are tons of them all over southern california. as for clubs there is this hot club called sootra in newport, but it's kind of overrated in my opinion. you have to go to balboa island and the peninsula if you are going to OC. it is so much fun. you also have to go to corona del mar. it is great downotown with good restaurants. el ranchito is one of my favorite restaurants and there are about 4 of them throughout corona del mar laguna beach and newport beach. when you are in newport you have to go to charlies chilie. seriously that place is so good! if you are a shopper you should go check out fashion island or south coast plaza. i go there all the time for shopping and people watching. before you go to the heart of san diego you should check out del mar. it is really beautiful there and once again great downtown area with good restaurants. bully's is a good restaurant with their famous ribs. also en fuego is really good to. you also have to go to balboa park which is in san diego. i think it is really fun. i love going to la jolla but some think it is overrated. don't forget to go to seaworld and see shamu for me! have fun and enjoy youself!
