Going on vacation to San Diego. Looking for hotels?

My friends and I are taking a trip to San Diego in the next two weeks. We'll be staying for 3 days and 3 nights and plan on spending the majority of our time on the beach, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and at restaurants (maybe clubs) in the area. We've been looking for hotels relatively close to the beach for a decent price but for whatever reason we've been having a hard time. We've found a few but it's difficult to tell how close it is to the beach and how nice the beach is. There will be 4 of us and we plan on staying in one room with two beds, and we're looking for something under $150/night. The hotel should be pretty decent, as we are traveling with a couple of princesses who will complain if it's not somewhat visually appealing. We'll also be driving there, so preferably something that doesn't charge obscene parking fees, too. We really don't require too much from a hotel as it will really only be a place to sleep and relax when we're wiped out from a busy day. I'd love to hear personal experiences with these hotels!Going on vacation to San Diego. Looking for hotels?
If you're looking for hotels closed to the beaches, you don't have to worry about it as San Diego has a lot to offer. In fact, it is the best timing for you to visit San Diego as hotels are offering discounts more than ever due to economic difficulty.

I would recommend making your hotel reservations in advance because it will save you money using an online booking site because you can sort prices and compare hotel rates.

There's one review site that I've tried which will guide you to a booking site that allows you to view the map of each hotel and see how close it is to the beach.

You can go to:

http://san-diego-hotel-reservations.com/

Click on Make Reservation Here and click on HotelCombined link.

When you click on that, A list of San Diego hotels will be displayed and you will have the ability to sort them by hotel rates, star classifications, distances, and also read features, and see the map and read actual customer reviews for each hotel.
Hotel Circle.

Every hotel imaginable is there - which means they compete and keep their rates low. It's 5 minutes from Sea World, the Zoo, and the beach.

Its also right on the 8 and next to the 5.

As for price, you would have to call them with the specific dates you want. The prices change a lot according to when you want to come.

So, I can't tell you which ones are under $150 because I don;t know when you are coming. The only bad one I know of in the hotel circle area is the Motel 6. I think the rest are atleast decent.Going on vacation to San Diego. Looking for hotels?
Try the Beach Cottages or The Best Western-Blue Sea Lodge in Pacific Beach. Both of them are right on the water and close to a bunch of shops, restaurants, and bars. Pacific Beach is also only a couple miles from Sea World and about a 15 minute drive to the Zoo and downtown. If you are planning on driving downtown, parking can be kind of a pain so I would suggest parking in the Horton Plaza parking structure located on 4th Ave. and F st. You get 2 hours free parking (you have to go inside the mall to get it validated) but it's right in the Gaslamp district and you won't have to worry about your car in the parking lots downtown. They can be expensive and not be too secure for 4 girls walking around.
I am jealous! I've been to San Diego, on pretty much the same sort of trip, friends down for a long weekend! I did a lot of research online and I would recommend anything in hotel circle. It is central to Sea World, the Zoo, downtown and just minutes from some lovely beaches as well.

I booked my hotel on no1hotels, it offered tons of different hotels and gave info on its location and also discounted almost all room rates.

Hope this helps!
