Im 13 currently and i want to work at 14 over the summer. i live in California san Diego. Were can i work?

I would like to work somewhere like a restaurant or grocery store.Im 13 currently and i want to work at 14 over the summer. i live in California san Diego. Were can i work?
As far as I know most places in San Diego will not hire if you are not over 16. Mostly because the paperwork to have you work becomes a lot more tedious the younger you are. The best bet would be to advertise yourself to others in your neighborhood for services such as grass cutting, painting, walking dogs, babysitting and other stuff you are good at. Then when you turn 16 try to get a job at a grocery store (this is actually harder than it sounds), restaurants are not really going to hire you below 18 because of the liabilities of having you work near a kitchen and such but some smaller restaurants or those with a lot of clients might consider it. I would say work somewhere like Sea World, they always hire a lot of youngsters for the summer if you keep an eye on their postings.
