they have listings for restaurants all around the country... sorted by location and cuisine!
not only that but they provide you with the COMPLETE menu too... much better than most of the directory sites that just tell you the phone and address! What is the best restaurant in san diego?
Peohe's in Coronado is awesome, my favorite
Flemings for steak
Jakes (there seafood cocktail is amazing)
Cicciotti's in Cardiff
Il Fornaio in Del Mar
Brigantine in Del Mar for fish tacos
Sushi Deli 2 Downtown
Georges on the Cove in La Jolla
Fidels for mexican food in either Carlsbad or Solana Beach
I would highly recommend the GEORGE'S AT THE COVE.
they have the formal dinning and the casual dinning area. great service, awesome food!!
when it come to dessert, you should check out the EXTRAORDINARY DESSERTS
Here are two of my favorites:
Corvette's Diner in Hillcrest (a fifty's style dine: loud %26amp; fun. Waiters all wear bizzare wigs and throw straws and bazooka bubble gum at customers. A D.J is there nightly ready to take oldies requests.)
For a unique but classier dining experience try Forever Fondue in La Jolla. The entire menu is composed of different fondue options. Very interesting and unique. http://foreverfonduerestaurants.com/index.asp
Where would I go to propose to my girlfriend?
George's at the Cove.
YardHouse in the gaslamp area. It has a great asian-american fusion menu that is loaded with anything you may want. The best appetizer is the California Roll that 4 people can share. A great dinner available is the crab crusted swordfish on a bed of wasabe mashed potatoes. Unbelievable desserts are also available. They have classic rock playing with a full bar and over 130 beers on tap that can all be purchased by the yard if you so choose. The menu consists of everything from salad to seafood to steak to burgers. The average dinner would cost you about 20 dollars and you will most likely not be able to eat it all because portions are very large. My wife and I are usually out of there wilth dinner, dessert, drinks, and tip for easily under 100 dollars. Great aptmosphere and never a long wait.
Cafe Japengo
in La Jolla/UTC area
The best sushi you will ever find plus amazing, creative fushion menu
Great atmosphere as well
Well Joes Crab Shack's enviroment and food is by far the best I have EVER had and Corvettes in Hillcrest is hip fun and AWESOME! So depend on what your style is
